Computerworld reports that millions of Web Enabled  printers contain a security weakness that could allow attackers to take control their systems, steal data, and issue commands that could cause the devices to overheat and catch fire. This finding is cooberated by reseachers from Columbia University. Whilst HP was named specifically, it is likely that printers manufactured by other vendors may have the same issue, leaving users of those devices exposed to similar threats, the researchers said.
